How to Plan an Arcade-Themed Birthday Party
Start with the venue before choosing your machines. A condo function room needs a different setup from a large event hall.
For a fun and child-friendly birthday celebration, explore our arcade machines for parties in Singapore to find suitable games while planning the space, power requirements, and safe setup.
Check the entrance width, lift access, power supply, and available floor area. Leave enough room for players and waiting guests.
Then choose a balanced mix of games.
1. Start With Basketball
Our commercial arcade basketball machine is the centerpiece of any party.
- Party Leaderboard: Run a mini shootout challenge where kids take turns setting high scores.
- Accessible Play: Equipped with junior basketballs suited for smaller hands(standard size available too), dynamic LED scoreboards, and countdown sound effects that build excitement.
- Rapid Turnaround: Short 60-second rounds ensure children rotate continuously without long lines forming.
2. 4-Player LED Air Hockey Table (Multi-Puck Frenzy Battles)
Unlike standard two-player units, our commercial LED Air Hockey Table accommodates up to 4 players simultaneously, making it an instant centerpiece for group play and kids’ birthday tournaments.
- Multi-Puck Frenzy Action: Instead of rallying a single puck back and forth, the table’s automated dispenser launches multiple pucks onto the playfield at rapid, timed intervals. The sudden release of extra pucks sparks unpredictable, high-energy rounds that keep all four players actively defending and attacking.
- Tiered Point Scoring: Not all pucks are equal—different pucks carry varied point values, adding an element of strategy as kids target high-value pucks to rack up high scores.
- Vibrant LED Audio-Visuals: Illuminated with vibrant perimeter neon lighting, independent electronic scoring displays for each player station, and high-output commercial air blowers that keep pucks gliding effortlessly across the table.
- Party Friendly: Up to 4 children playing at once cuts waiting times in half, ensuring high turnaround throughout the celebration.
3. Bring Back Classic Arcade Games
Retro games add variety between active contests. Our Standing Video Arcade Machine works well for children, teens, and adults.
Classic games also give parents something to enjoy while children play.
4. Include Racing and Skill Games
Racing machines can create exciting head-to-head contests. Skill games also give children another way to compete beyond scoring baskets.
Whack a Frog Machine (Perfect for Younger Children)
For kids aged 4 to 9, reflex games provide accessible, physical fun.
- Safe & Energetic: Players use soft foam-padded mallets to tap illuminated frogs as they pop up across an 8-hole playfield.
- Adjustable Speed: Difficulty levels can be set to gentle tempos for younger children or faster speeds for older kids seeking a challenge.
For older children and teens, pair two racing units (such as Mario Kart DX or Daytona) side-by-side to let friends race across custom tracks with steering wheels and gas pedals
5. Prize Claw Machines (Guaranteed-Win Mode)
A party prize crane elevates the traditional party favor bag into an interactive experience.
- No Tears Policy: Avoid party disappointment by setting our custom claw machine rental to “Play-Till-Win” mode. Kids can replay until the claw successfully drops a prize into the chute.
- Prize Options: Stock the glass cabinet with licensed plush toys, blind boxes, party favor packs, or prize capsules filled with custom candy and stationary.
6. Create an Arcade Prize Corner
Small prizes make score challenges more fun. Use tokens, tickets, or score cards to track each child’s results.
Prize ideas include:
- Small soft toys
- Stickers
- Stationery
- Sweets
- Arcade-themed medals
Keep prizes simple so the games stay friendly.

Condominium Function Room & Venue Checklist
Hosting arcade games in residential function rooms or landed homes requires practical site coordination:
Lift and Door Clearances
Arcade cabinets are solid commercial structures that mostly cannot be disassembled.
- Measure doorway openings (minimum clearance of 80cm to 85cm required).
- Verify that passenger or service lifts have a depth of at least 1.4m to accommodate upright cabinets safely.
- If your venue requires navigating staircases without elevator access, inform us during booking so we can allocate appropriate manpower for manual carrying.
Managing Electrical Circuits
Most condominium function rooms share a single 13-amp ring circuit across all wall outlets.
- Our electronic arcade machines draw modest power (typically 150W-300W each).
- You can safely run 3 to 4 arcade machines simultaneously on one standard circuit without tripping the breaker.
- If you are also operating high-draw catering equipment (such as electric hot plates or catering warmers), run those heating elements from an entirely separate wall circuit to prevent power trips.
Volume and Sound Calibration
To comply with residential condo house rules and avoid noise complaints from neighbors, all our arcade machines feature internal volume controls that our delivery technicians calibrate to your preferred sound level upon setup.
Complete the Theme: Food, Fringe & Photo Keepsakes
Turn your game room into a complete carnival experience by adding complementary attractions:
- Live Concession Carts: Pair the games with our fully managed live popcorn and candy floss stations, serving freshly spun cotton candy and warm cinema-style popcorn on demand.
- Indoor Bouncy Castles: If your venue features high ceilings ($3.5text{ m}+$), add one of our compact indoor bouncy castles to give younger guests an energetic bounce zone.
- Instant Photo Keepsakes: Set up an instant print photo booth with arcade-themed photo props and customized print templates so every parent and child takes home a photo keepsake.
